Transport International Holdings Limited (TIH)’s 2010 Annual Report received an Honourable Mention in the “General” category of the “2011 Best Annual Reports Awards” organised by The Hong Kong Management Association.

The theme of TIH’s 2010 Annual Report was “Driving Value for the Community”, reflecting the Group’s efforts in maintaining a balance between the increasingly demanding needs of those who use its services and its constant quest for efficiency, as it seeks to drive value for the community.

Besides reporting on the annual results and the financial information of the Group, TIH’s 2010 Annual Report enhanced transparency by providing details of the Group’s corporate governance practices, thus increasing the public’s understanding of the Group’s professional management and internal monitoring systems. It also included a conversation with the Managing Director through which the Group’s strategies and future direction were presented. TIH’s winning of the award reflects the fact that the design and content of its annual report have received recognition from the panel of adjudicators. The adjudicating panel also pointed out that the parts on staff development and corporate social responsibility were particularly outstanding.

The “Best Annual Reports Awards” were established by The Hong Kong Management Association in 1973. With a history of over 30 years, the Awards aim at encouraging the publication of annual reports and accounts which are accurate, informative and well-presented to shareholders, employees and others who may have an interest in the performance and activities of the organisation in question, thus indirectly increasing the transparency and the level of corporate governance of enterprises and companies in Hong Kong.
