KMB
Included as a component company of Dow Jones Sustainability Index
KMB Holdings has again been
included as a component company of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
(DJSI) in this year's corporate sustainability assessment. KMB has achieved
excellent results across all three dimensions of corporate sustainability
in the assessment, namely economic, environmental and social dimensions
on a global basis.
Mr. John Chan, Managing Director
of KMB, said, "We are very proud that KMB is again included as
a component company of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. It indicates
that our efforts and achievements have been duly recognised in the international
arena. KMB will continue to work hard on all fronts to enhance its sustainability
performance. By increasing our productivity and cost effectiveness,
supporting environmental protection and further developing a corporate
culture of service excellence, we are confident that we can strengthen
our leading position in a highly competitive market."
Launched in 1999, the DJSI
is the world's first sustainability index which tracks the performance
of the leading sustainability-driven companies all over the world. The
assessment conducted for the DJSI is regarded as the world's first systematic,
rational and consistent methodology that quantifies corporate sustainability
performance for the financial community. At present, major global financial
institutions are using the index as a benchmark for index-based financial
products.
KMB has been a component
company of the DJSI since 2000.
